    Taunggyi Balloon Festival (November)
    Shan State is a highland situated 5,000 feet above sea level in the eastern part of Myanmar. Taunggyi is the capital of Shan State, 456 miles from Yangon. Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival, held in November every year, is one of the well known festivals in Myanmar. Hot-air balloons releasing event is the most distinct event of the Taunggyi Tazaungdaing festival.

    Naga Festival (12-16 January)
    Myanmar is a land of diverse ethnicity. High on the mountains of North West Myanmar are a proud group of people known to the world as Naga, one of the 135 different ethnic groups that live on Myanmar territory.
